I make and sell visual aids for both young and old.  Items include communication keyrings, mats and charts for children and young people who are non-verbal or who find it hard to express their needs.  Social stories, visual timetables, reward charts and learning resources to name but a few!  Also items for adults who are unable to communicate due to illness such as stroke, dementia or other additional needs.

Why use visuals?

Visual supports use pictures and symbols to help a person to communicate with others, to know what is going to happen next and to help explain abstract concepts.

For example:-

A visual timetable shows a clear sequence of events which can help with the transition from one activity to another and help ease anxiety.

A communication keyring can help a non-verbal person or someone who is in crisis mode to communicate their needs to others.

A social story uses symbols to explain what will happen in certain situations, for example, visiting the dentist.  They can also provide a visual script explaining how to behave in certain situations, for example, taking turns with others.
