Here is a social story to help anyone who struggles with change and transitions.  The story is printed back to back on A4 paper and laminated for durability.  It has blank spaces for you to fill in the things that may change for example year group and teacher but also things that will stay the same and provide stability and comfort for your child, for example, their friends or the favourite subject.  Because it is laminated it can be written on with a white board pen, wiped clean and used year on year. Alternatively, it can be written on with a sharpie if you want the information to be permanent.  The story can be read regularly to your child in the run up to going back to school in September.  The set also comes with a handy little reminder attached to a keyring which can be clipped to a bag or coat to help with transition on the first in their new class and beyond if needed.
